      BOD Nominations   10/03/2017

Emails have been sent to all current CCWS Members with a link to BOD nominations. Please check your email.   You will need to ask the person you're nominating for their current 2017 CCWS Member Number. Keep in mind that we will contact each nominee to make sure they are OK with being a candidate. You can't nominate yourself either (sorry). All nominations are due by November 3, 2017. To keep from having 574 different nominees, a nominee must be named by at least five members to qualify. We will compile all the nominations and put the top ten nominees on the November 10, 2017, ballot. Elections are over on December 10, 2017. We will announce the winners on December 13, 2017, and the two winners will take office January 1, 2018. How to get your current CCWS member number. Log into the CCWS event registration system. Your member number will be next to your name on the welcome screen. https://www.chumpcar.com/register/login.php Mike Chisek

Pit Pass for visitors - Track charges $10 gate fee. Pit passes are normally $20 from us, but we'll cut that in half since they already paid the track $10. Pets: No pets allowed. Children: No children 18 or under on pit road. Camping: Self-contained RV camping is allowed on Friday and Saturday night. Contact AMP directly to purchase a pass. Barbecues: BBQ’s are allowed in the camping area only, provided all BBQ’s are supervised at all times, a fire extinguisher is within 15’ of the open flame, and all open flames are (at a minimum) 20’ from all race cars, fuel storage or other flammable sources. The leaves have turned and the nights are cool. What does that mean? It's time for AMP! Fall. One of the most perfect times of year to race. Cool mornings and warm afternoons - helps your car run longer before it overheats! AMPin the fall means not only cooler weather, but gorgeous mountain views as you race around the track. Although I don't recommend you take them in while you drive. Anyway, read on for info about the race. Noise Limit - AMP has a 98dB sound limit. They monitor this tightly. If you exceed 98dB you will be black flagged and given one chance to make a repair. A second offense will result in the end of your racing day. This is an AMP rule! Halloween Party - My wife, the fun one, is at it again. There will be Halloween festivities on Saturday night after the race. PLEASE, each racer, come with a bag or 2 of candy. We are partnering to host a community event, including a trunk-or-treat with YOUR cars lined on pit road for an hour after the end of the race. Any driver who participates will be entered into a drawing to win an OMP Sport OS70 helmet. Also, bring your finest costume, should you want to compete in our contest, stay for BBQ, and prepare to chuck a pumpkin 200+ feet on our trebuchet! Gates - Teams will have access at 3pm on Friday. Yes, I know it's later than you're used to, but that's what AMP put in their contract. There's always the chance they may open them earlier, but for now just plan on 3pm as the earliest you can get in. Tech - If you haven't been tech'd yet in 2016, or have made a change to your car, bring your car through the tech line and let Phil and Dan take a look. Make sure to have your paperwork with you and filled out. No paperwork and Phil is likely to put you in EC. Registration - Once tech is completed (whether here or earlier in the year) bring your yellow log book to registration and get checked in. To speed this up, make sure you are fully paid (you actually all are - Wow) and your driver roster is correct ahead of time. Pit Assignments - Your requests have been met. see image below Supplemental rules - Just a reminder to take a look at the supplemental rules for this event. They can be found here. QUESTIONS: If you have questions about the race, registration or payment process, email me and I will respond ASAP. We're looking forward to seeing y'all in GA! 4. Atlanta Motorsports Park 7+7

This is the next race for our team, so I figured we'd kick off the discussion. Supps. are up http://www.chumpcar.com/register/supplementalrules/288.pdf and payment is "due" in two weeks. This is a fun, sweeping track that has built in plenty of elevation change. They tend to be strict on sound, so if you're over 92db you're more likely to get caught here. The paddock has been paved since we were last there. Any more insight? Any chance for practice? Are you going to bring silly Halloween costumes?
  5. So I live fairly close to the AMP in Dawsonville GA and I have don't have any experience driving on a track but I would love to come see and be a steward at the track. Where do I sign up for this? I know it's a few months out but early is always best. Thanks
  6. I'm looking for an open seat for NCM (probably too late for this, but I was just there for a track day so I figured I'd ask) or AMP, let me know. I'm new to w2w, but I'm fast and think I could be good at it. I would be willing to contribute to the team any way possible (obviously).
  7. Hello everyone and welcome to the 2016 endurance racing season! We would like to invite capable drivers to join us as we focus on our home tracks around Indiana. NCM, Mid-Ohio, Gingerman, and PittRace are all present and accounted for! We've been around for a while and know the ropes, at least we think we do. Our number 1 priority is safety, and then reliability, fun, and competition are all lumped into #2. The racing community is our family, come join us! Take a peek at our website, the schedule and current openings are located HERE. If you have any questions I can be reached through the forums, the website, or directly at thing3racing at gmail . com Justin
  8. Looking for a team to join for the August race at AMP ( Atlantic Motorsport Park). No race driving experience what so ever but I know what end of a hammer to hold and my favorite tool is the fire wrench ( aka, Oxygen Acetylene)
  9. Hey all, I'm looking for a team in the Moncton area to hook up with to prepare for the AMP race in August. Not looking for a race seat, just a chance to meet some new people, build a racecar, and maybe sawzall something. I'm a big WEC/TUDOR/F1/etc fan, and I've got 3+ years of FSAE experience at Dalhousie leading chassis/suspension and VP of the team. I'll be checking the forums occasionally but if you want to get in touch my email address is brett.macpherson@dal.ca. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  13. AMP is full

Just an FYI, we have hit 40 entries for AMP. I've also received a half dozen emails from teams who are still trying to get in. I'm going to send out an email to all registered teams warning them that we are past the payment deadline and I am going to have to start bumping unpaid teams for teams with cash in hand on the wait list.
  14. I live in Atlanta, have 20+ track days at Atlanta Motorsports Park , and would like to find a ride for the 2013 AMP event. I run a consistent 1.36 in my C5 corvette at this track. Tom
