      BOD Nominations   10/03/2017

Emails have been sent to all current CCWS Members with a link to BOD nominations. Please check your email.   You will need to ask the person you're nominating for their current 2017 CCWS Member Number. Keep in mind that we will contact each nominee to make sure they are OK with being a candidate. You can't nominate yourself either (sorry). All nominations are due by November 3, 2017. To keep from having 574 different nominees, a nominee must be named by at least five members to qualify. We will compile all the nominations and put the top ten nominees on the November 10, 2017, ballot. Elections are over on December 10, 2017. We will announce the winners on December 13, 2017, and the two winners will take office January 1, 2018. How to get your current CCWS member number. Log into the CCWS event registration system. Your member number will be next to your name on the welcome screen. https://www.chumpcar.com/register/login.php Mike Chisek

  1. Lake Effect Rac1ng is Looking for some experienced drivers, Our car a is a fully race prepped BMW E30. It is a North Carolina car so it's very clean and competitive (No penalty laps with Chumpcar). Last year it ran in Canadian Chumpcar and was very competitive. My expectations for drivers are consistent lap times that are comparative to my own or faster. Endurance racing is very different from sprint racing so my philosophy is run your own race and consistency wins. My expectations are that you will help out with pit stops and be in the pits during the races to make sure our strategy is put in place for the races during the weekend. We currently have seats available for two events: WRL September 22-24 at Mid-Ohio Full Chumpcar PIRC October 7 &8th (2 seats available)
  2. 2017 Hotels (All Regions)

I will post hotels as I add them. Meanwhile, hope this saves you some planning time/effort! Please let them know that you are calling for the 'ChumpCar' rate, or else you will not get a discount. Also, you have until 1 month prior to the race date to receive a discount. Central Region: Harris Hill Country Inns & Suites by Carlson, San Marcos (512) 392-8111 1560 IH-35 S. Take a peek at our website, the schedule and current openings are located HERE. If you have any questions I can be reached through the forums, the website, or directly at thing3racing at gmail . com Justin

  5. Hello, I am looking for a seat at either Mosport or Mid-Ohio races in April. I just moved back to the mid-west and haven't established a more permanent seat yet. I have done over 20 Chumpcar races since 2011. I have rented seats from Funhurtz (Miata), Miata PI (Miata), HelloKitty (Rabbit), Pisto Alto (300ZX), and Mediocre Motoring (Jetta). I used to own and run the WRC Dropouts (Turbo Legacy) out of Michigan before moving to California. I have experience racing RWD, FWD, and AWD both low and high powered. I am an automotive engineer and have worked for multiple OEMs were I have been lucky enough to work with engine and chassis controls where I frequently perform limit handling maneuvers. I have dabbled in autocross but nothing serious. In addition I use iracing regularly (B licensed) and participate in arrive and drive karting often (Calspeed, Sonoma, etc). I usually pay $250 per hour of seat time and would be looking for 2 hours per day. I know how to wrench and prefer to help during races. Below is some video captured of my last race at Laguna Seca in December. This video is of a 45 minute long battle I had with a 260Z. I am in the red Miata with the wing: https://youtu.be/Z8kPd2HW01M?list=PL2dayKt1Q5CF0bgt12VQq_dej5uaAPB03 This is a in car video of a 25 minute long battle I had with a MR2: https://youtu.be/T9gT3JUaPPk?t=25s If interested please contact me at cafifty@gmail.com. I can provide references from teams and any additional information. -Jamie
