      BOD Nominations   10/03/2017

Emails have been sent to all current CCWS Members with a link to BOD nominations. Please check your email.   You will need to ask the person you're nominating for their current 2017 CCWS Member Number. Keep in mind that we will contact each nominee to make sure they are OK with being a candidate. You can't nominate yourself either (sorry). All nominations are due by November 3, 2017. To keep from having 574 different nominees, a nominee must be named by at least five members to qualify. We will compile all the nominations and put the top ten nominees on the November 10, 2017, ballot. Elections are over on December 10, 2017. We will announce the winners on December 13, 2017, and the two winners will take office January 1, 2018. How to get your current CCWS member number. Log into the CCWS event registration system. Your member number will be next to your name on the welcome screen. https://www.chumpcar.com/register/login.php Mike Chisek

  2. Good evening folks. We are a startup team just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. We currently have 4 team members, but we are all rather busy (All of us work for a field service organization in the Energy sector). We have an E36 BMW coupe shell with another E36 donor vehicle. We have a decent sized shop space with a 2 post lift. Our initial plan is to participate in the local event at Pitt Race, but would definitely be willing to travel farther once we are up and running. We would like to take on 1-2 additional team members to fully participate in finishing the build and driving. You can contact me through PM on here to discuss farther. Thanks, Nick
  3. Pittsburgh International is coming up within the next couple of weeks and I need to find one driver to make the trip with us. We are qualified for the Chumpionship and we have another driver who was present at Watkins Glen so we have fulfilled our requirements for the event. Why should you run with Crank Yankers Racing? The most important reasons to you reading this is seat time. All of my rental drivers receive seat time! I've got a lot of references from the 2014 and now in 2015 about seat time and how I run my team. Another reason you should drive with us is because you will be treated like a CYR teammate. You won't feel like you're just renting a seat, but you'll be included in any and all activities we choose to do. The third reason is that I bring a well prepped car with the BMW. I go through the car before and after each race checking bolts, pad life, alignments, bushings, etc. When I load the BMW up on the trailer I'm confident I've done and gone through every possible item that could go bad. My expectations from my rental drivers are the following 1) Help out with pit stops whether you're fueling, holding the fire bottle or cleaning the windshield 2) During the race of your stints, I expect you to be in the pits at all times just in case something happens. You can grab lunch or go to the bathroom, but it is nice to have people in the pits ready to go in full gear in case any mishaps happen with the driver or the car and I need someone to jump in the car 3) Help out with any mechanical issues, whether that is handing me wrenches or just checking the oil in the car. I am charging $1,000 for the seat which will be (2) 2 hour sessions long. I'm also looking for people who have wheel to wheel experience and must have references. We are a consistently fast team and I look for drivers who can be within 2 seconds of the fastest time we put down. You will be driving a 1989 BMW 325i that we just put a new clutch in (blew at VIR). The car has been gone through and everything else is working great on it! Also you need to be shorter than 6' as the seat cannot go back any further. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me on here, email me at etpedersen14@gmail.com or give me a text 260 445 eight 742. Also feel free to ask around with other teams and see how I run the team and pit stops. Thanks, Tyler
  4. We had two drivers bail on us. We need one more to race. We are a middle of the pack team on our fourth race so we have the car pretty much figured out, we just stink at racing. We did 8 hours at Summit point and finished 9th (woo!) with zero mechanical issues, just lots of fun driving! I rented two seats for that race and if you want they can be my references. Please come help us out, super low key team out there to just try and finish. Car fee part of entry fee and then is per hour driven. Oh yeah, we race a red 1991 dodge stealth. Best way is to email me at lewisj at gmail. Thanks guys, Jason

  6. Hi, new to this race format but I have been racing since I was a teenager. Panoz at Road Atlanta and Sebring seasons. Also have run SVRA for the past 14 years. Would like to run the PittRace event with a competitive team. Happy to pay my share. Thanks! Bdolan1776 at gmail dot com
