  1. I was Road America checking out the Chump race today, and I was talking to teams about a Nissan i think Maxima that was for sale there. I didn't see it around anywhere, pretty sure it was gone before I got there. Does anybody have info on it? Or any info on other chump cars for sale in the area. Thanks in advance!
  2. Looking to tick off a major bucket list item and race RA this October. I'm 40, have a handful of Chump and Lemons experience as well as a lot of professional tuition over many years. I consider myself fairly quick, but not stupid, and looking for a team of around the same age that don't take themselves too seriously. I'm a team player and happy to help out with pitwork etc. Open to more races also. Drop me a line if you want to talk! Fletch

  4. Great Racing Today Chumps! A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this race possible. And Congratulations to all the winning chumps today! 5. I may have 2 seats available for the April event at Road America. If you have always dreamed of racing a Ferrari at one of America's most storied race tracks I can't help you. But, if you are willing to accept second best I have a deal for you. 2- 1.5 hours stints in a fabulous 1978 Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce for the princely sum of $750. The price includes entry fees, fuel, food and sundries. And all the racing lies you can tolerate. The car is easy to drive, forgiving and reasonably fast. Drivers must be willing to obey instructions and have fun.
  6. Hi All! I'm new to Chumpcar, after recently moving back from the United Kingdom to Wisconsin I am looking at different endurance series I can participate in during my free time. I am looking for a team to be kind enough to give me a helping hand in learning what Chumpcar is all about. Maybe share a few beers and evenings helping out with the car and helping on raceday. I grew up on a farm and can turn wrenches. I also work at a Powder coating facility here in Wisconsin. I'm by no means an expert, but hoping that someone will be kind enough to help me learn the ropes. I am going to the April 16-17 event at Road America, is there any team willing to let me ghost them for a few hours? Thank you!
  7. As Road America is my home track, I always like to extend whatever hospitality I can to visiting Chumps. A friend of mine owns a home that he rents out near the track for $395/night. It has six bedrooms, nine sleeping areas and sleeps up to 18 people. It also has room for trucks and trailers, wifi, full kitchen, etc... I don't get anything out of folks staying there, but if there's a large enough group, it works out much better than staying in a bunch of hotel rooms. You can get more information on the place here- Windever Farm
  8. Welcome to the 2015 Central Region Chumpionship! (Which I am hereby unofficially renaming as the First Frost 5,000,000.) It's been a GREAT year with all of you, and we can't wait to see you again in 2016! But enough of the filler, it's time for the meat. That being the case, here are your official results: 1st: Team McQueen 2nd: Spartan Racing 3rd: JSK Racing Results: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-XhNgXfcWhgTVY5UzBLVE40ajQ/view?usp=sharing Lap Times: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-XhNgXfcWhgMXZ2V2RtbUZCcG8/view?usp=sharing

  10. Hi Chumps, I'm an experienced chump and WRL driver and I'll be coming to Road America to practice on Friday. I'm there to get some time in a new car for next season. Since I'll be traveling there anyways, if anyone needs a driver, I'd stay for the weekend. I've got (7) races under my belt in both Chumpcar and WRL with no spins, offs, contact or black flags. My team won at BIR this year in a very quick front wheel drive car. I'm also comfortable in more powerful rear wheel drive (or AWD) cars and I have 2 weekends of experience at Road America. Just let me know about your team and what the fees are.
  11. Road America is coming up within the next month and I need to find one driver to make the trip with us. We are qualified for the Chumpionship and we have another driver who was present at Gateway so we have fulfilled our requirements for the event. Why should you run with Crank Yankers Racing? The most important reasons to you reading this is seat time. All of my rental drivers receive seat time! I've got a lot of references from the 2014 and now in 2015 about seat time and how I run my team. Another reason you should drive with us is because you will be treated like a CYR teammate. You won't feel like you're just renting a seat, but you'll be included in any and all activities we choose to do. The third reason is that I bring a well prepped car with the BMW. I go through the car before and after each race checking bolts, pad life, alignments, bushings, etc. When I load the BMW up on the trailer I'm confident I've done and gone through every possible item that could go bad. My expectations from my rental drivers are the following 1) Help out with pit stops whether you're fueling, holding the fire bottle or cleaning the windshield 2) During the race of your stints, I expect you to be in the pits at all times just in case something happens. You can grab lunch or go to the bathroom, but it is nice to have people in the pits ready to go in full gear in case any mishaps happen with the driver or the car and I need someone to jump in the car 3) Help out with any mechanical issues, whether that is handing me wrenches or just checking the oil in the car. I am charging $1,000 for the seat which will be (2) 1:45 hour sessions long. I'm also looking for people who have wheel to wheel experience and must have references. We are a consistently fast team and I look for drivers who can be within 2 seconds of the fastest time we put down. You will be driving a 1989 BMW 325i that we just put a new clutch in (blew at VIR). The car has been gone through and everything else is working great on it! Also you need to be shorter than 6' as the seat cannot go back any further. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me on here, email me at etpedersen14@gmail.com or give me a text 260 445 eight 742. Also feel free to ask around with other teams and see how I run the team and pit stops. Thanks, Tyler
  12. Fellow Chumps, We run a 94 Miata that has been really good to us, treat it right and it will keep on going and going right up to the podium. A real pleasure to drive, great handling, awesome brakes, and a great family of a team behind it. We'd like to welcome you to join us for a weekend or a season if you're interested. New and experienced drivers are welcomed but everyone is expected to mind the ride like it was your own with the you break it you buy it mentality (never had any issues). We usually place in the top third of the field and easily finish top ten with a smooth crew behind the wheel. We also run a cool shirt and fresh air helmet blower for the Divas out there : ) Check out our website, and take a peek at the schedule tab for pricing and availability as some races are full already. We run in an ~8 hour circle around our home in Southern Indiana from the brand new Corvette Museum, VIR, to Road America, Mid-Ohio and Pittsburgh. If you see something you like, shoot over an email here or on the contact us tab from the website. http://thing3racing.wix.com/thing3racing Let me know if you have any questions, Justin

  15. Hey yall, My ChumpCar Team (Battlewagon) is racing in Daytona for their third race. I do not have a race license yet, so I need some road racing experience before then to race our car (Daytona's rules). Do any of you have an extra seat for the races before then, preferably Motorsports Park Hastings or New Jersey Motorsports Park? I say that, but I'm willing to skip a wedding for the other 3 races including Canada. I was Team Manager of a top 10% collegiate Formula SAE race team, and I am well versed in CAD; RaceCar Dynamics, Simulation, and Engineering; and metal fabrication and machining, if that is of any assistance.
  16. Found Driver Equipment at RA

We have a G-Force bag full of driver's gear left in garage 5 at Road America last weekend. Please PM me if this may be yours.
