To Anyone Looking for a New Car.

29 posts in this topic

While I Don't Have the Money to Start racing, I Do Like Looking around & Checking the Forums from time to time to see what's going on. With that Being said, 1 thing i'm thinking of doing to help out is to look on Local classifieds to help people looking for a new Car & Post my Finds here for anyone interested. Here's One I Just Found for Example:

2001 BMW 325xi e46 parts car-$500: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/kitchener-waterloo/325xi-e46-parts-car/1225883417

Selling my 2001 325xi e46 bmw has passenger front damage could possibly be fixed didn't bother to get it looked at.

Bought another car don't have space or time to part out.

I Think it would make a Good Chumper or Maybe Spec E46 if it's a Thing here.

For People who Run/Looking to Run a Civic:

2005 Honda Civic LX-G Sedan-$500: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/kitchener-waterloo/2005-honda-lx-g-sedan-as-is/1210339595

Car runs, engine light is on therefore failed e-test. Didn't have time to fix it up so bought a new vehicle. Probably needs new breaks, A/C doesn't work, not sure why engine light is on. Tires are only 2 years old. Could be in running condition again if you wanted, or would be a great parts car

I have two 2002 Toyota Celica GT for sale. I originally purchased these a couple months back to build into a race car but plans have changed and I'm not going to get into racing at all. One is drive-able and the other is a parts car that would need to be towed. There is no engine or transmission in the parts car. I have the ownership for both. Asking $2000 or best offer for both cars. Please contact me by email through kijiji. Low ballers will be ignored. Overall condition of the drive-able is pretty good. Let me know if you would like more pictures My name is Ian.

Lancer is currently NOT driveable. Front passenger steering knuckle/bearing need to be replaced. Will not pass safety, not sure what it would need in order to pass.

Brand new brakes, rotors, and calipers. Installed last February, have less than 10,000 km on them.
Front driver side steering knuckle replaced with used steering knuckle that has less than 170,000 km on it.
Most parts appear to be in working condition, though the car has been sitting over the winter so I'm not sure whether the battery will work.

For sale 2002, VW golf hatchback. The car is for sale as is. Not sure what the car needs for a safety. The car was being driven daily up until two weeks ago. The car needs one if not both front wheel bearing replaced. Check engine light is on.

This car will need work to be done in able to pass the safety. 500$ is a reasonable price as I believe another 200-500$ and you will have yourself an excellent vehicle.

Text or call 2268681749 I'm looking to sell to a serious buyer. Don't waist either of our time please.
Located 5 minutes outside of Waterloo in St. Clements.

Shouldn't you get points back anyway if you pull an aluminum turbo rotory to put in a normally aspirated iron piston one? ;)

half of a rotary is iron anyway.

I would claim the car as an NA and then use the swap formula.

If you use the NA rearend, it would be identical if using the NA or Turbo as a starting point.

Or, keep the rearend in it and claim the 25 pts for the swap.

How much HP does a stock 5.0 make?  200?

      Current MPV 275
  Non-stock race parts Costs
1 splitter  10.00
2 Electric Fan 10.00
3
4
5 Aluminum Flea-bay Radiator 20.00
6 Coilovers all around 40.00
7 accusump 10.00
8 Trans Swap 25.00
9 Engine Swap 84.36
10 rearend swap 25.00
11
12
13
14
15
      Current TCV =  499.36
  Total Parts = 224.36 MAX TCV = 500.00

You would need to change these items back to stock....

Adjustable front sway bar
Competition Mazda adjustable camber plates - Just slot the stock strut tower with a drill.
25 US gallon Fuel Safe rubber bladder fuel cell

9.5 1 TRW Forged Pistons
Competition Cam valve train. Heavy-duty valve train including titanium keepers, Fluidamper, reduction pulleys
Ford Motorsport Cam F-303
Edelbrock ported RPM aluminum cylinder heads by J&P Performance
Canton road race oil pan and windage tray
Edelbrock ported RPM intake manifold by J&P Performance

In other words, put stock swaybar on, slot strut towers, put in stock 302 (sell hotted up 302), put in stock fuel tank or smaller fuel cell (trade somebody for a smaller one).

I haven't binge watched the last season of the TCV soap opera since I started renting but if that's a 500 point car with that motor then the new system is wack!

Putting a stock 302 back in it would make sense for Chump events, leave the hot one for other series.  You can also use spacers in your fuel cell to bring it back to OEM capacity can't you?

That motor = ec.  Stock could make it work.

There is debate about the fuel cell rules.  Is it plus 2 gallons and then displace it back, or plus any gallons and block it back to within plus 2?

Rule reads clear to me, OEM capacity +/- 2 gal.  Displacement blocks reduce capacity.
