I am looking for a deli that can deliver a sandwich platter to the track at VIR this weekend. Before I start the search, wanted to see if anyone has a recommendation.

You do know VIR is in the middle of Noware Virginia , about 30 mins from anything.  The food stand is OK but closes in the middle of the night when you need it most.

There is also a pretty good pizza place next to the Food Lion in Danville.

And, if nothing else ... check with Millie's in Milton.

I'd go with Millie's in Milton never been disappointed , it's not far from the track and I'm sure they don't deliver , but for enough  $$$$ I'll go pick it up for ya .  We'll if Mike will let me that is ,but that might cost even more $$$$

There's a subway ~15 mins from the track. Maybe you could slip the kid getting off his shift a $20 to deliver.

1- what make you think I'm a Yankee?  Living in NJ doesn't make you a Yankee.

2- How far is Danville from the track ? About 1/2 hour ride.

Mike just came back from Wal Mart 40 min round trip includes 10 minutes in store.  There's plenty of places to eat.  Dockers 8 miles from track on lake hyco.  Good food and they made trays for us.

See if you can find an Uber driver to drive a platter our there.  Instead of picking up and dropping of a human, it's a food platter.  most of those folks are up for an adventure.

This might be a bizarre workaround, but I know this happens because my brother in-law drives for them and gets all kinds of long distance drive and related requests.  I think the furthest he's gone is like 350 miles round trip.
