  1. Will it PASS Tech?

Looks like it will be a cool build if you decide to move forward with it. Good luck!!
  2. LOL, it's really not. . I thought we were talking about testing which again, is easy to do. Suspicious sights (blue fuel) and smells lead to testing. How hard is that? Who cars what the drum in the trailer looks like, it gets tested the same as any would. LOL, it's really not. . I thought we were talking about testing which again, is easy to do. 3. I did, when I wrote the petition and Mike responded with questions on testing. I provided cheap and easy testing solutions to him. The BOD can decide. You can make something as complicated or as easy as your agenda will allow. As its been stated many times already race fuel is pretty easily seen and smelled. IF a rule were to go into effect how many sets of eyes and noses are at each race? If someone is suspected of using race fuel testing their drums in their trailer is pretty simple. You can make up as many testing computations as you want or you can "keep it simple stupid". I know which most people would pick.
  4. There's very simple testing kits available reasonably priced. Try google. I have sent them to Mike as he asked the same thing.
  5. He's just trying to spread his agenda in all of the candidates threads. Perfect example of why he will never get elected to the board.
  6. We were told that this is NOT within the rules as we asked Mike directly the very same question. This is possible on many different platforms. Now, the loop hole is that if you do a swap or take the higher VPI from a better model/engine the bigger tank IS included. But, you don't get it for free without starting with the better model VPI or swap points.
  7. Also, you guys are assuming that everyone was already valuing their cars at 10 points per corner, per component. I do not believe that is the case. I think some teams will find their values going up on the per component per corner basis, not just per component. There is NO way that we were the only car to be tech'd incorrectly with the way the rules are now written.
  8. Wish we could just get an answer to the original question.
  9. BJ's should always be free
  10. What I'm saying is the red lined version you posted is not what I see on either of the links from the website. The 2018 rules link has red lined changes in it but this particular change is just changed and left black, no red line Thats all.
  11. That is not the version i see on the website link to the 2018 rules.
  12. No worries, at this point everyone is guessing. lol
  13. Well then tech doesn't understand the original intent either. When we went through tech in September we disclosed our aftermarket trailing arms (pair) and had them marked for 10 points on our tech sheet and logbook. The 2015, 16, 17 tech sheets all say the word "component". Dan actually looked under the car at them and moved on to the next item on our list after seeing them. No mention that they would be 10 point EACH vs. 10 points for the pair. No adjustments were made to our sheet.
  14. looks like the wording changed without being relined when they sent out the 2018 rules. Interesting...... @Bill Strong @chisek @Mopar 63
