Your favorite, "shows off the hobby" of chump racing video.

Recommended Posts

I've got a friend and his dad that are talking about coming out to race with us.  I was looking for those "really good" videos that get you pumped up  and in the mood for Chump racing to show him.

Not all of them are easy to find.  just looking for the ones that get the blood pumping, show lots of various action, racing, passing, being passed, pit work etc.

Who knows of a good one or two to show us off?

I got a few good ones on my YouTube channel IMO. :) I'll link them once I get to my computer.

Me Driving in the 12 Hour from VIR just the other week. Definitely one of my best drives in the last decade of my racing career.

Me, throwing some fast ones in at Road Atlanta last month, battling the eventual 1st place car a few times. (that hp difference tho)

Last year's Road Atlanta race in the Ronald's Racers car. (Now Skidmark Racing) Had fastest lap of the event as well.

A couple others on my youtube channel as well @ https://www.youtube.com/user/WyFoster

Here's a decent compilation of passes, spins, crunches, and brake failures from the point of view of a Saab. Also includes plenty of footage of MR2s blowing doors off!

Sounded awful close to a money shift at 4:31 ... someone was getting a little excited?

Yeah, not a stuff it in the wall or anything but far from a perfect moment, here is a classic, doesn't get more real then Daytona!

While very rare we have the "honor" of spinning on the high banks (all cars continued)

If that was too spicy, how about 30 min of passing ....raw vid

A little M4L, they crush every car in the video except one pesky Honda.

Since I am going into T1 that would be a heel toe downshift :)

Followed by a little assistance from the clutch. ;) As an engine builder I cringe a bit when I hear an engine getting dragged up past the normal operating range.

Rod stretcher, rocker arm breaker, money shift, whatever you want to call it; they all have the potential for spontaneous disassembly and the resulting increase in racing costs.  :P

Here is a good one of some fast cars battling and working their way through traffic.

There was one I watched with some guys in a brown "ups" Mazda mx3 racing at one of the nascar tracks (Daytona?). It was pretty good for production value but I can't find it.  They broke in the end and had to pack it in, but no point in getting your buddies hopes too high right?!

That's this video. The team is from Las Vegas and this was shot at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, inside road course.

Typical vanilla video, but it does show the footwork pretty good which is something to think about if you're getting into driving a race car.
